Perform fact-finding, design, software surveys, and/or cost/benefit analyses for new or modified enterprise wide software applications resulting in the design or modification of systems.
Develop program specifications, including program elements such as: inputs and outputs, hierarchical structure, interface plans, file layout, control requirements, processing and timing requirements, and test plans.
Develop recommendations to change system requirements to meet the needs of multiple users and/or alternatives for consideration when problems arise.
Evaluate vendor-developed software for defined system and subject matter applications.
Evaluate new systems design methodologies to improve software quality.
Review the impact of new systems design policies on the systems design process.
Conduct preliminary analyses to determine system feasibility and nature of data processing requirements and present recommendations to senior management on data processing including estimates of personnel, equipment and time; advises management on the most appropriate systems approaches.
Provide technical support and assistance in planning system rollouts and upgrades to ensure the least impact on the customer.
